Little Ondine Review and Swatches

Hey there everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Little Ondine was kind enough to send me some polishes to review and I was super impressed with them. This company is making all natural water-based polishes that peel off without needing any acetone to remove them. Plus, the colors are gorgeous!

One thing to mention about this polish is that they have a slightly different consistency than regular nail polish, since they are made with water as the base. They are a bit thin, but don't need more than 2-3 coats to build up the color. 3 coats of polish may seem like a lot, but these polishes dry so quickly that I didn't mind it at all.

There were only two negative things I could find about this polish, and they really weren't that big of a deal. The first is that it doesn't respond to acetone the way normal polish does, which is great for removal, but if you're painting and happen to get some on your skin, you cannot clean it with a brush dipped in acetone. Instead, use a dry clean up brush. You have to make sure and get the polish off of your skin while it is still wet, or it may cause the polish to start to peel up before you want it to. This really isn't a negative, just something a little different about this polish. The other thing I should note is that this polish does not water marble. Since it is a water base, it dissolves into the water rather than sit on top. But other than water marbling, this polish is amazing! So let's get to the swatches, shall we? I'm starting and finishing each swatch with the Little Ondine Secret Top and Base coat. I LOVE that this is a 2-in1! It functions really well as both a top and base and is super super glossy.

So the first color is "Smoky Mountain," a GORGEOUS grey. I've been looking for the perfect grey for quite a while and I finally found it! It's amazing! This polish has a great formula and was fully opaque in just two coats.

Next we have "Marshmallow," a super pretty warm nude. I think this color would look great with a variety of skin tones. I love this color so much that I've had it on for a week and don't want to take it off! This is one I'll definitely be using regularly. With this polish, you could get away with just two coats, but I did three for the swatch. This polish is very quick-drying and has a beautiful glossy finish.

The next color is "Purple Rain," a lovely light purple. This is the thinnest polish I received, and needed three coats. But, as I've said, these polishes dry so quickly that I really don't mind doing three coats. I love the way this color built up, it's not too bright of a purple.

Next up is "Obsession," and let me tell ya, I'm obsessed. Seriously this polish is so gorgeous!! This is a metallic gold, almost rose-gold polish with a really pretty pearlescent finish. The formula is thin, and since its a metallic, a bit streaky, so I did need three coats. It was SO worth it though! It took on a sort of chrome effect which is really beautiful. I highly recommend this polish!

The last swatch is of "Midsummer," a super bright greenish-yellow color. This isn't a polish I'd normally buy, but I was pleasantly surprised! This is actually a super fun and pretty polish, perfect for spring and summer. So although its not one of my usual colors, I do really like this polish.

Alright, that's all I have for you today! If you want to buy any of these polishes (or some of the other gorgeous colors available) head on over to https://us.littleondine.com. I have a video review with swatch videos available on my YouTube channel, and you can also find all of these swatches on my Instagram. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
